Suggested Tattoo Aftercare Instructions

• Remove bandage within 1-4 hours
• Wash tattoo with mild or antibacterial soap
• Apply a thin coat of antibiotic ointment or cream as needed
• Minimize sun exposure and no swimming on fresh, salt or chlorinated water for at least two weeks

(if re-bandaging is necessary, use only sterile bandages or dressings)

Consult a health care practitioner at first sign of infection or allergic reaction and report any diagnosed infection, allergic reaction, or adverse effect resulting from the tattoo to your artist and to the Texas Department of Health, Drugs and Medical Devices Division, at 1-888-839-6676
